Veteran Benefits Seminars at Alderman Oaks

Alderman Oaks has hosted a number of "Making Sense of Veteran Benefits" Seminars.

During the programs, Terry Acton, USAF Retired. shared how Sarasota County Veteran Services provides assistance to veterans and their families with filing claims for veterans benefits.  Seminar topics included --  Compensation for Service Related Disabilities, Medical Benefits, Survivor Benefits,  Pension for Wartime Veterans with Non-Service Related Disabilities, and Death Benefits (see Printable Flyer).

Downtown Sarasota Alliance (DSA)

At Alderman Oaks the first and third Sunday every month.

Rusty Blix, Administrator for Alderman Oaks, is on the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army of Sarasota, FL.  The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
